Youth & Transportation Conference
Tuesday, November 29th 2011 (8:15AM-3:00PM) at Ottawa City Hall
We are proud to present #YouOttaKnow, Youth in Ottawa in the Know, a one day event at which young people are given the opportunity to share their ideas, perspectives, and suggestions on Ottawa’s transit and transportation. As youth we rely on these services in a very unique way which is why it’s critical that our voices be heard on these issues!
#YouOttaKnow, the third annual Ottawa Youth Commission conference, aims to bring together youth with transit and transportation professionals to start a dialogue and work together in making Ottawa a better place.
Students will participate in workshops presented by the City of Ottawa Public Health, Green Communities Canada, Ottawa Light Rail Transit, OC Transpo, City of Ottawa Transportation Planning Branch and youth members of the Ottawa Youth Commission.
This free event is open to students in grade 9 through grade 12. If you are an educator you can register your students for the event by following the link below. If you are a student ask your teacher, principal, or adviser to register you, your friends and classmates for #YouOttaKnow because your voice is important in making our City better!
